Tri-Fold Bamboo Chairmat, 47-Inch-by-60-Inch, 12mm Thick, No Lip, Dark Cherry (Lawn & Patio) After going thru the clear rubber chair mats at a rate of about 4-5/year I decided to try something different. The teak mat looks great and is holding up well — only get minor grooves/tracks from the chairs. As the piece is solid wood these don’t discolor and are barely noticeable. The only disappointment is the size of the lip. Its slightly shorter and narrower than the rubber mats and my chair occasionally rolls off — not a bit deal . . .

Large enough that I don’t roll off the edges. Hope it has a long usage life. Much better that the chair mats that can be rolled up.

Very thick plastic but does have a strong burnt plastic smell. It’s been three week and you can still smell it when you walk into the room.

It has been in my office for almost a month and is holding up perfectly. The 79′ x 48′ size is great for my space, it spans the area for my ’90 deg’ workspace (meaning my PC and phone are on a side desk at a 90 to my primary desk).Awarded at the 4-Star level due to the fact that the mat walks around, very slowly. You don’t know when or why, but it always ends up slid towards the side desk by Friday. Either my office is downhill, or the nibs are built too short for my carpet. But it’s fairly easy to realign once per week.

However, it comes rolled up and it still is not totally flat, even after a month. It is still worth the money, I just wish it came in a flat box or with flattening instructions. If there is a trick to flattening the mat, I wish they had included it in the package.

Standard Bamboo Chair Mat, 55′ x 57′ with Lip, 5mm Thick Dark Cherry (Kitchen) I wanted one of these for the computer desk, but many places had them listed for over $200, which is way stupid money. I got this in the other day, and it looks good. Be aware that is about three shades darker than the picture above. I will post an update in a few months to let you know if it holds up.Update 25 Sept 11 It does not hold up that well. Many creases and a few cracks. Now in all fairness, I am a 250lb guy. Perhaps for a person who weighs less, it might have held up better. However, I was in Loews and had a minor epiphany. When this thing tanks, I will get a half sheet of 3/8′ plywood, and a box of that new lock together flooring. There is a large variety of colors and types of material available. I figure I can spend an afternoon and put together something much stronger for less than half the price I spent on this trash.

It is perfect for my computer chair to rest and roll on. I highly recommend the poly carbonate variety, as its very durable and I can see the hard wood floors through it, which was very appealing to me! Amazon did a very good job packaging it as well.
